We've been given some videos to watch for this class that include some spoken word poets. I have always been very interested in this type of art and social action. This a video of two young women speaking about the use of the word "bitch" and how it damages our lives and the way we view ourselves. How women who assert strength and power are as seen negatively and referred to by this word. I think this video is very powerful, I hope some of you do too.
