Texas Male Mentor Program
This is a short NBC video about a mentor program that was started in Dallas, Texas. The North Texas Male Expo help boys and teenagers with different issues by offering them the guidance of a mentor. They have group activities, and poetry. The parents are welcome to the expo as well. The program is directed by Dr. Kristen Guillory, who believes that no matter what a boy or teenager is told by parents or friends about their unworthiness, they are worthy. I believe this is the type of program that is needed throughout the U.S and especially in the disadvantaged neighborhood, where young boys and teens do not have the father role model. I believe those type of program would make a tremendous positive difference in the lives of young boys and teenagers.
