Man Box
I came across this article that congratulated
men for being able to now cry in public.
I grew up in a household where my dad was pretty hard on my
brothers. Whenever they would cry, my
father would scream and ask them what is it that they are crying for? But when
the girls would cry, my father would talk to us in a soothing manner. Growing up in my household, I understood that
real men do not cry. Now looking back I feel pity for my
father and my brothers who were not able to cry in public. I wonder if that behavior now contributes to
the fact that they are so emotionless.
