Men With Muscles and Money Are More Attractive to Straight Women and Gay Men – Showing Gender Roles Aren’t Progressing

This article is about a study that was done where women and gay men were more attractive to men who had muscles and biceps and there was an emphasis on the men having wealth, such as nice suits and watches. The men who were seen as fathers or more emotional were not as successful as those men with biceps and money. The article goes on to show that the typical “man” is still the ideal that women and gay men are attractive too and it shows that the gender roles aren’t progressing.

Since the ones where the man is seem more emotional or shown as a father were not as liked, it does show that the ideal man is a strong, wealthy man. This shows that people still have an idea of what a man should be and what people prefer as a partner.
