The link takes you to an article that talks about why we
should not tell young sons to "be a man". I feel this is something
that needs to be talked about more. Everywhere young boys I'm sure are being
told not only by their fathers but mothers also that are basically grooming
them to be emotionless robots in the future. Like the article states we must
let our sons express their full range of emotions. Like with daughters they can
cry, be vulnerable, be upset and no one tells them to grow up or man up. I
believe that if we taught our sons that expressing themselves and not keeping
all these negative emotions inside and only being aggressive things in the
world could possibly be very different.
