Looking at Boku No Hero Academia I would like to talk about how they view masculinity. If you look at the main character Midoriya he tends to be very quiet, loving and supportive yet everyone views him as a great person. On the other hand when you look at Bakugo he is loud, mean, and aggressive and the other characters tend to treat him differently. I really like to think this anime (and manga) is starting to challenge the stereotypical way we view how men should be behaving. I think it is also important to note how the show focuses on the Midoriya’s relationship with his mother.
