Recently reddit banned a community dedicated to "involuntary celibates", or men who see themselves as victimized by women because they won't have sex with them. This community found itself in the spotlight when someone they idolized committed mass murder. These men find themselves on the fringes of masculinity, simultaneously disavowing the concepts that define hegemonic masculinity and also embracing the worst aspects of it. They are primarily cis, hetero, and white men who see themselves as marginalized by society and thus they seek to reclaim their privileged status by in turn marginalizing others and abusing women.
The included article goes into detail on reddit's decision to ban the community.
