I found an article about a man who killed his 14 year old son because he didn't want his son to be gay. I wanted to share this article because this is something that happens a lot. People on social media sites like Twitter or Facebook often post photos of men and boys who seem feminine or gay and try to entice others to speak ill about them. These posts would typically have a young man wearing makeup and the caption being "You walk in on your son and he got this on. What are you going to do?" People like to pass things off like that as a joke but don't realize that these jokes normalize the harassment of those who don't conform to the traditional masculine trope. A man killed his own son because he rather his son be dead than gay. That is not a joke and that is most certainly not okay.
