Something so simple as watching a show that features a princess is considered "gay" because it's about girls wearing dresses and taking care of animals. Masculinity is a construct that can be easily taken a part because it has no ground to stand on. The only thing that keeps masculinity in check is reinforcement from other people and the media. There is no biological determinant of masculinity in men.
