The Man List

Esquire wrote a piece on how to be a man, http://www.esquire.com/lifestyle/a22462/what-is-a-man-0509/
where they tell the readers in detail what it takes, or what it is ti be a man. They even go as far as to tell who is not a man and why. Who are they to tell people what a man is? I mean don't get me wrong some of the points on the list are pretty good and I might have to share them with my husband, but why are they not considered tips for PEOPLE to live by?  Why do men need a list to tell them if they are doing the man thing right?
