Before reading this article, I was under the
impression that only battered women existed, but after reading this article, I see
that battered men exist as well. Though domestic violence against men is not as
known as domestic violence against women; domestic violence against men does
occur more often than we know.
Domestic
abuse of men can occur in many forms, including being abused physically, being
slapped, being kicked, being hit, being forced to have sex, etc. Abuse can have
an impact on the mental well-being of men. Because of the seriousness of abuse,
men should not stay in an abusive situation, and neither should they be
expected to.
