Why is there so much homophobia in sports, especially football when a lot of it you see is a man slapping other man's butts and them being on top of each other. however when a player or a formal player comes out they are shocked and they alienate them because they are gay, but the day before they would call each other brothers and they would do anything for each other. In the article NFL Player Opens Up About Race and Sexuality in Sports, Wade Davis, a former NFL player-turned activist, visited a campus for the College’s annual Anything But Straight in Athletics event and talked about his past experiences as being a gay NFL player.
