James Dean, a new type of man
In the article James Dean and the birth of modern masculinity, India Ross talks about the shift of how actors were portrayed in movies, moving from a man’s man, who maneuvered Alexandrian chariot to the Western Front with a raised eyebrow in place, to men who who would show emotions and question himself.
