As I was driving to work today, I passed a Chick-fil-a that has "Daddy-Daughter Date Night" on it's sign. As a mother to only a son, I have never had the experience of a daddy-daughter date. Does something magical happen on these dates to make them different from mommy and son dates? Or mommy and daughter dates? Or daddy and son dates? I understand that there is a sacred bond between daddy and daughter. However, there are sacred bonds between most parents (mommies and daddies alike) and their children (daughters and sons alike). I even received emails from Chili's advertising their daddy-daughter date nights. I have never seen any business advertise mommy-son date nights.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this phenomenon?
