Female Masculinity?
I came across this YouTube video a couple weeks ago when I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed. The video really shows how fluid gender can be and how the current labels we hold can be changed and how we identify ourselves is every-changing. The video includes people of all different idenitifications and clearly articulates how stereotypes and norms have changed. The video overviews Female Masculinity and what exactly it means. Particularly, "Female Masculinity is a considered to be a rebellion" of the performance of both genders. One participant in the interview said that female masculinity leaves out all the bad parts of masculinity but keeps all the good. The video also goes over some of the struggles the participants had to deal with when discovering who they are and what they needed to do to become who they are. Overall, it was a very inspirational video. The video is exemplary in showing that you can be who you want to be and that there is always a light in the distance, despite the dark times we experience.
