Gender, Leadership, and Success

“The Masculine and Feminine Side of Leadership and Culture: Perception vs. Reality” looks to analyze companies from the inside out. It looks at leadership among individuals and the “traits” that most believe brought them success. Society tends to value masculine traits, especially in business. The article identifies those traits, and how women are perceived when they exhibit them. It then goes on to analyze business as a whole, the company Mary Kay in particular. It is a good read on leadership and success in the female population.
