I came
across an article in the Huffington Post titled "It’s Time to Acknowledge Male Victims of Domestic Violence."  When you hear about domestic violence we always think that it is a woman
who is the victim.  The majority of the time
this is true; however men get abused as well.
I think the reason why we always hear when a woman is being abused is
because the women do not keep it a secret.
You will find that the reason we hear less about a man being abused is
because men feel like they are too macho to admit that a female abused
them.  They are afraid of what their
friends are going to say because "real men" are strong and powerful.   The article addresses the fact that anyone
can become a victim of domestic violence and that it doesn't only happen to
women.   I found it interesting that one
of the reason why men fail to report the abuse is because they fear that the police
will not believe that a women committed the abuse.
